The Senate has dismissed Danladi Umar as the Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) following allegations of misconduct.
On Wednesday, the Senate invoked Section 157 (1) to officially remove Yakubu Umar from his position as Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal.
He was dismissed due to allegations of misconduct.

Umar’s removal paves the way for Abdullahi Bello to officially take over as the new substantive Chairman of the Tribunal.
Eighty-four senators, making up the two-thirds majority of the Senate, signed in support of his removal and decided to send the resolution to President Bola Tinubu for further action.
