The Nigerian Army announced on Friday that soldiers deployed to combat terrorism in Kaduna State successfully eliminated terrorists and prevented violent extremists from abducting farmers in the Giwa Local Government Area.
The Army shared this information through a post on their official X handle.
The troops, acting on intelligence, discovered that the terrorists were using Basurfe village as their base near Kidandan.
Despite facing an ambush, the soldiers displayed tactical skills and managed to push back the insurgents, causing them to disperse in different directions.

During the operation, the soldiers observed some terrorists trying to flee on motorcycles and engaged them, resulting in the neutralization of two terrorists.
Additionally, the troops seized two AK-47 rifles, three magazines, and a motorbike.
The operation intensified as the soldiers located the insurgents’ hideout on high ground, launching a fierce attack that led to the capture of weapons, ammunition, explosives, communication devices, and medical supplies.
