Security Operatives Raid Kidnappers’ Den in Anambra, Arrest Suspect & Recover Arms
Security forces in Anambra dismantle a kidnappers’ hideout, arresting one suspect and recovering dangerous weapons.
A joint security team has successfully stormed a kidnapper’s hideout in Enugwu Agidi, located in the Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State. This operation resulted in the arrest of a main suspect and the seizure of a significant collection of weapons.
The operation, executed at 12:15 a.m. on Thursday, January 30th, 2025, was performed by combined forces from the recently initiated ‘Udo Ga Chi’ and ‘Agunechemba’ security programs.
Based on reliable intelligence, the forces arrested Mr. Chukwudi Tansi, who has been identified as a member of an alleged kidnapping syndicate.
The raid led to the recovery of a significant arsenal, comprising two AK-47 rifles, eight pump-action guns, and four locally manufactured pistols.
Other items confiscated included three packets of cartridges holding a total of 101 rounds, four empty AK-47 magazines, three cutlasses, a Baofeng radio, a motorcycle, and an assortment of charms.
This breakthrough is part of a continuous effort to boost security throughout Anambra State, as authorities persist in their strong stance against criminal elements.
