Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Requests April or May Trial Date for Sex Trafficking Case

Music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has requested a trial in April or May for the sex trafficking charges he faces, as legal proceedings continue to unfold in this high-profile case.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is seeking a trial for sex trafficking charges in the spring, as stated by his attorneys during a court appearance on Wednesday.

His legal team and prosecutors, in a joint letter, expressed their preference for a trial to take place in April or May. They also provided an outline of the topics they intend to discuss at a hearing set for Thursday in Manhattan federal court.

Although prosecutors stated that they were ready for trial, they did not indicate a preferred date.

Combs, 54, has been detained since his arrest on September 16 and is facing allegations of committing years of physical and sexual abuse against women.

He has pleaded not guilty.

The indictment alleges that Combs utilized a network of associates and employees to manipulate and mistreat women, employing methods like blackmail, kidnapping, arson, and physical violence to intimidate his victims into silence.

His attorney, Marc Agnifilo, contended that the prosecutors are trying to classify Combs’ consensual sexual relationships as criminal acts.

Agnifilo mentioned that Combs plans to demonstrate his innocence during the trial.

In their joint letter prior to Thursday’s hearing, prosecutors stated that they have begun supplying defense attorneys with a significant amount of evidence. This includes several terabytes of electronically stored information pertaining to Combs and others.

Items that have already been shared include a full set of search warrants, a phone belonging to Combs seized in March, and reports on two of his iCloud accounts.

Prosecutors also informed the judge that they are currently copying data from more than 40 devices and five additional iCloud accounts linked to Combs.
