The injury that Nigerian forward Cyriel Dessers suffered during Rangers’ Scottish Cup final loss to Celtic may need him to miss a significant amount of time on the sidelines.
Dessers was replaced after playing for just twenty-five minutes.
This week, a scan will be performed on the Nigerian international to ascertain the severity of the injury.
Scotland-based media claim that the striker’s setback may prevent him from playing in the opening games of the following campaign.

After the game, Dessers remarked, “I got hurt in the first half, after about 25 minutes, it’s my ankle.”
“Obviously, it was the biggest game of the year, the season’s final, and one last push, so I attempted to continue. However, I had to leave. In a few days, I’ll get it evaluated.
Throughout the season, the 29-year-old scored 22 goals for the Light Blues in all competitions.
