Saturday’s APC rally in Lagos diverts traffic
The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates Bola Tinubu and Babajide Sanwo-Olu have received traffic detours from the Lagos State Government.
The event is scheduled for Saturday at Surulere’s Teslim Balogun Stadium.
According to Frederic Oladeinde, the transportation commissioner, the protests will take place between 9 am and 4 pm.
Residents of Lagos were urged to organize their movements near Alhaji Masha, Funsho Williams Avenue, and Teslim Balogun Stadium.
If you’re travelling to Costain, Apapa, Ijora, Victoria Island, or Lagos Island, you’ll need to use the Express Lanes at Barracks. If you’re travelling to New Lagos or Surulere, you’ll need to use Olumegbon.
Drivers on Funsho Williams/Western Avenue heading toward Surulere/Ojuelegba will be detoured to Bode Thomas and Eric Moore at Iponri Estate for those heading toward New Lagos/Surulere, and off to the Express Lanes/Stadium Bridge at Alaka for those heading toward Mushin, Palm Groove, Ikeja, Ojota, and Ikorodu.
There would be restrictions on traffic on Masha Road to the Akerele/Shitta junction and Funsho Williams from the Olumegbon junction to Alaka.
Oladeinde promised that traffic around the impacted regions would be controlled for both people and vehicles.
