Sanwo-Olu Plans Justice Reform Summit for May 27th and 28th

The Justice Reform Summit with the theme “Enhancing The Administration of Justice For Economic Growth, Investment Protection And Security in Lagos State” will be hosted by the Lagos Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on May 27 and 28, as announced by Mrs. Titilayo ShittaBey-Jeje, Solicitor General/Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Ministry of Justice.

ShittaBey-Jeje highlighted that Sanwo-Olu will be the Chief Host of the summit, which is scheduled to take place at the Marriott Hotel in GRA Ikeja, Lagos, emphasizing the importance of the event in the state.

The Chief Justice of the Federation, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, will serve as the Chairman of the summit, with the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister for Justice, Prince Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), being the special guest of honor, as mentioned by ShittaBey-Jeje.

ShittaBey-Jeje also pointed out that Lagos State Government has been a pioneer in justice reform due to its significant achievements and innovations in the field over the years, acknowledging the challenges that come with being the economic hub of the country.

The summit aims to address these challenges by exploring various perspectives on the effective and efficient administration of justice for economic growth and investment protection in Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole, according to ShittaBey-Jeje.

Furthermore, the Ministry has provided a platform for stakeholders and the public to share their views, observations, and recommendations for the reform process, encouraging a wide range of Nigerians to contribute their insights.
