In commemoration of this year’s Isese Day festivities, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has proclaimed Tuesday as a non-working day in Lagos State.
The Head of Service for the state, Mr Bode Agoro, has signed a statement containing this information.
Isese Day is recognized as a legal public holiday in specific states which include Osun, Ogun, Lagos, Kwara, Edo, Ondo,Oyo,Ekiti and Kogi.

The goal of this celebration is to cultivate a feeling of belongingness among followers practicing customary faiths.
Traditional worshippers will be celebrating their day on Wednesday, so work is set to continue in all public offices including courts across the state following this announcement.
The state government is declaring a holiday for the Isese Day celebration for the first time, in accordance with the United Nations’ designation of August 20 as World Traditional Religion Day.
