Dr. Sam Amadi, the former Chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), has announced that he intends to run for the Imo State governor’s office in 2023.

The prominent Arise TV analyst Amadi said on his official Twitter account on Friday in a series of tweets, “The brave life is a life lived in the practise and defence of truth.

Amadi said in an interview with Obasanjonews24 on Friday that he will be running under the Labour Party’s (LP) banner.

The gubernatorial elections in Imo, Kogi, and Bayelsa states have been scheduled for November 11, 2023, by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
