Salah Surpasses Drogba, Eto’o to Claim African Goalscoring Record

Mohamed Salah has broken the goalscoring records of Didier Drogba and Samuel Eto’o to become Africa’s top scorer. Discover how he made history.

Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah is the highest-scoring African in Champions League history.

Salah scored his second goal as the Reds beat Bologna 2-0 on Wednesday night.

The Egyptian’s precise cross was set up by Alexis Mac Allister to put Liverpool up 1-0.

Salah scored his 45th goal of the tournament with a classic shot from the penalty area, beating former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba (44).

Former Barcelona and Inter Milan striker Samuel Eto’o comes in third with 30 goals.
