According to former Manchester United striker Louis Saha, Casemiro is being overworked by the Red Devils this season.

Saha urges his teammates to step up because he feels Erik ten Hag’s team is now relying too much on the Brazilian’s performances.

He claims that the former Real Madrid player is working extremely hard for Man United and essentially playing as a 10.

“Casemiro is such a huge name and was a key player for Manchester United last season, and he is going to be one of their best players again when the team finds the right balance,” Saha told Betfred.

He’s doing a lot right now and practically playing like a number ten. The relationship between the players worries me.

“He is attempting to create for his team and play more passes than some of Manchester United’s players who are further up the pitch. Why is it the case? His primary responsibility is not this.

“He is currently being expected to perform too many things, which is a crucial sign that the proper balance isn’t present. Although Casemiro is not a number 10, he appears to be moving up the pitch more than I have ever seen him.

“I don’t recall seeing Casemiro score 10 goals a season for Real Madrid, but it appears like he’s already on track to reach that for Manchester United this season with four goals before October.

“Other players must come up and perform because the squad is now asking too much of him. To enable Casemiro to focus on his primary responsibility of defending Manchester United, players like Mason Mount must inject the team with creativity.
