The transfer of Habibu Sadiq to the Kano Pillars has been finalised ahead of the 2023–24 Nigeria Professional Football League season.

The stalwart defender signed a two-year contract with the team.
Before the team’s practise on Wednesday, he was introduced to the crowd.
Sadiq transferred from Katsina United to the team coached by Abdullahi Maikaba.
Last season, Katsina United was promoted to the NPFL in large part thanks to the contribution of the former Flying Eagles star.
Rarara FA, a non-league team, was where he started his playing career. He later played for Wikki Tourist and Katsina United.
