One of the commandants of the Kano State Hisbah Board has been fired for undermining and undermining the state’s efforts to combat immorality and social vices.

Commandant General of Hisbah Sheikh Aminu Daurawa confirmed this to reporters in Kano on Tuesday, adding that five additional officers were also being investigated.

“The dismissed personnel usually connived with bad elements to perpetrate unholy acts in the state,” he said.

In addition, Daurawa stated that he had dismissed a Deputy Superintendent of Hisbah (DSH) and issued a wanted poster, ordering that he be detained and charged with a crime wherever he may be discovered.

According to him, the Deputy Superintendent who was removed often worked in concert with the hotel owners to prevent Hisbah from raiding their establishments while they were open for business.

Additionally, he refuted a Facebook user’s rumour that its staff used a bottle to chop a non-indigenous person’s hair after raiding a state brothel.

He said that the accusation was the work of pranksters and that Hisbah had found the person who had uploaded the video. He also said that the accused will be asked to provide evidence to support his claims.
