S3X tape leaked: Nigerian singer ordered to pay N5 million in damages
Ikuforijimi Abdulrahman, also known as Oxlade, was given N5 million in damages by Justice Olalekan Oresanya of an Ikeja High Court as a result of a leaked sex clip with a woman on the social media app Snapchat, according to Leadership.
In a ruling issued on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, Justice Oresanya referred to the singer’s actions as “despicable, awful, nasty, and classless” because they involved secretly filming sexual intercourse with a woman and then distributing it online.

The singer’s sex tape had appeared online in February 2022 without the woman in the video’s knowledge or consent.
Public indignation over the released footage led Oxlade to apologise to both his followers and the woman in the video.
However, the woman, Blessing, had filed a lawsuit before the court on March 15, 2022, asking for N20 million in damages and a declaration that the musician’s act of recording his explicit sexual acts without her knowledge or consent amounted to a flagrant violation of enabling laws and a gross violation of her fundamental rights to dignity, privacy, and freedom from discrimination guaranteed under Sections 34 and 37 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) and Article 5 of the African Charter on Human and People’s Rights
