According to the governor of the Bryansk Region, guardsmen employing an anti-drone pistol successfully repulsed the attack.

According to Governor Aleksandr Bogomaz, three Ukrainian drones were shot down on Thursday morning in Russia’s Bryansk Region. A single UAV in the area was earlier intercepted, according to the Defence Ministry.

The National Guard and police responded quickly after receiving information about a suspicious aircraft from a member of the public, according to Bogomaz.

The UAVs were destroyed by troops using “an anti-drone gun and a specialised carbine,” according to Bogomaz. There were no casualties reported.

The aircraft were probably kamikaze variations of the UJ-22 Airborne type, which is made by the Ukrainian company Ukrjet for that country’s armed forces.

According to reports, one of the robotic aircraft went down near a hotel run by the local authority.

An online video that claims to have been shot on Thursday morning shows a small plane flying low to the ground while the cameraman remarks that it is the third one to pass by.

A significant drone raid by the Ukrainian military on Wednesday included Bryansk as a target. Bryansk borders northern Ukraine.
