Michael Adebayo Olayinka, better known by his stage name Ruger, is a Nigerian dancehall sensation who split from D’Prince’s organisation Jonzing World.
The singer of “Asiwaju,” Blown Boy Entertainment, announced on Sunday the launch of his own record company.

He changed the labels on his social media accounts as well.
Speaking into a voice recorder, Ruger begged for support from those who had helped him since the start of his career and thanked them all.
The 24-year-old musician added that he will shortly use the new channel to unveil his next year’s plans.
“Hello, everyone. This is Ruger. I wish to be nearer to my supporters. Individuals that have been there for me from the start of my career until now. You all have my undying love. I think you are unaware of a lot of things about me. You are unaware of a certain aspect of my existence. I’m so much joy to hang out with and be around. And I want you all to be aware of that. That’s a component I want to tell you about,” he remarked.
As you can see, I have launched my own record label. I need everyone’s help. I require the utmost affection, intimate and direct. You all have my undying love. I’m going to give you guys a few glimpses into my year-long plans. You people are aware that anything I do this year will be seen personally. I adore you all very much.
Ruger became well-known in 2021 through the Jonzing World label, which is a division of Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records and is owned by Nigerian musician D’Prince.
Ruger has received numerous accolades for his work. He was the recipient of the 2021 AFRIMA Best Newcomer Award and the 2023 Soundcity MVP Awards Best New Artist Award.
Ruger has also won a number of significant honours, like as the 2022 Afrima Awards’ Best New Act in Africa.
In addition, he is the author of two extended plays (EPs), “Pandemic” (2021) and “Second Wave” (2022).
Ruger made a comeback on November 16, 2022, with a new tune capsule that includes two hits, “Red Flags” and “Asiwaju,” that immediately became popular on all social media sites.
Asiwaju spent a record-breaking one month in the history of the chart when she peaked at number one on Nigeria’s Apple Music Top Songs chart.
He released “RU The World,” his debut album, in September of last year.
