West African countries need to work together more, according to President Muhammadu Buhari, to confront growing dangers and volatility.
The President spoke after the Niger Republic government dedicated a 3.8km long and 160m wide Boulevard in his honour.
Buhari emphasized the necessity for better collaboration because of the dangers of constant evolution.
The Nigerian president said that the war on terrorism and other international crimes had made small but steady progress.
In West Africa, violent extremist organizations are making new efforts to establish operations and footholds, he said.
Nigeria’s commitment to bilateral and multilateral projects with Niger, Chad, and Cameroon was reaffirmed by Buhari.
He expressed optimism on the French translation of his autobiography, saying that he hoped it would encourage young leaders to value “hard labour, ethics, and patriotism.”
Presidents Mohamed Bazoum, Umaro Sissoco Embaló of Guinea-Bissau, General Mahamat Idriss of Chad, and Mahamadou Issoufou, a former president of Niger, all attended the book presentation.
