Rivers State’s Sole Administrator, Ibok-Ete Ibas, has declared that the previously withheld local government funds will be released. He assured that all necessary measures will be implemented to guarantee timely payment of workers’ salaries.

During a meeting with Heads of Local Government Administrators in Port Harcourt, Ibas characterized the gathering as a crucial step forward in their joint endeavor to reestablish stability and advance progress within the state.

The Sole Administrator expressed concern over the economic difficulties faced in the Niger Delta, highlighting that despite its abundance of natural resources, the local population still endures significant hardship.
