In a heated political exchange, former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike responds to Governor Fubara’s comments, reaffirming his consistent use of a red biro for 14 years in governance.

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has disregarded Governor Sim Fubara’s threats to persist in using his “red pen” against adversaries.

Wike reminded Fubara that he has been using the same red pen for 14 years and continues to use it.

During the 2025 New Year service at St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Opobo Town, within the Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area, Fubara pledged to relentlessly confront his adversaries.

Fubara stated, “The red pen is still full and with me. Every adversary’s scheme will keep failing.”

Through his media aide, Lere Olayinka, the Minister warned Fubara that he has only been using his red pen for two years.

On X, Olayinka posted: “Someone who has only been using the red pen for less than two years is out there reminding himself and boasting, ‘The red pen is still full. I still have it with me.’ Alright then.”

“Shouldn’t he also be reminded that someone has been using the same red biro for 14 years?”
