Rivers police arrest four suspects after breaking up a child trafficking ring.

A child trafficking ring that was operating in the state and several neighboring states has been dismantled by Rivers State Police Command agents.

The suspects, who number four and are made up of three ladies and one guy, are suspected of kidnapping, buying, and selling children in the alleged operating states of Rivers, Imo, and Delta.

One of the suspects claimed she paid N1.5 million for three children, while several others acknowledged buying or selling the children.

The police are still looking for one youngster who is thought to have been sold to a buyer in Asaba, Delta state, even though two children have already been rescued. Other suspects in the syndicate are still being sought after.
