Rivers: Gunmen have taken a woman hostage in Ikwerre LGA
In the Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, a woman who has not yet been named was abducted at gunpoint between the communities of Omuawa and Ubima.
The event was confirmed by a commercial bus driver who operates on the Port Harcourt Owerri Road.
He claimed that on Thursday night, the crooks ambushed the woman and forced her from her car at gunpoint.
The eyewitness further stated that when the woman was carried to a nearby bush by the abductors, her car was abandoned along the Isiokpo/Omurelu-Owerri New Road.
The event has not yet been confirmed by the Rivers State Police Command.
