Rivers governor: Labour Party loses as a result of the ruling

The petition Beatrice Itubo, a candidate for the Labour Party, filed to challenge the proclamation of Simnalaye Fubara, a candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party, as the winner of the state’s governorship election in 2023 has been dismissed by the Rivers State Governorship Election Petition Board.Tonye Cole, a candidate for the All Progressives Congress, and LP have filed a petition, which is currently being heard by the Abuja-based tribunal.

Beatrice Itubo, who is requesting that the tribunal pronounce her the winner of the election, finished third.
