Beatrice Itubo is still the Labour Party’s nominee for governor of Rivers on Saturday, according to Julius Abure.
In Rivers State, the Labour Party’s State Executive Council has been disbanded due to alleged anti-party activities and corruption in the handling of party funds, according to Julius Abure, the party’s national chairman.
Abure stated in a statement on Tuesday that the dissolution is effective right away.
“Those who were in charge in Rivers State when our presidential mandate was blatantly stolen in Rivers State should step aside until full investigation is finished on what transpired on that day,” he stated.
Abure stated that he no longer has faith in the State Executive Council, which is corrupted and is led by Deinye Pepple, to organise the campaign for the March 11 governorship and State House of Assembly elections.

The Obidients in the state were admonished by him to ignore Pepple’s remarks and deeds. Beatrice Itubo is still the Labour Party’s nominee for the state’s governorship election on Saturday, according to Abure.
The Labour Party has not partnered with any political parties, the chairman added.
Pepple announced his support for Siminialayi Fubara, the PDP’s candidate for governor, hours earlier. He said he was backing a young, energetic candidate from the state’s South-East Senatorial District, which has never produced a governor.
