Rivers Crisis: Wike Slams Fubara for ‘Daring’ to Remove a Chief from His Family

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has disclosed one reason why he is unable to reconcile with Governor Similayi Fubara of Rivers State.
Wike alleged that Fubara ousted a chief from his family and subsequently appointed another individual to the position.
The FCT Minister mentioned this on Wednesday during a media session in Abuja, while responding to journalists’ questions.

“Observe my situation: as a former governor and Minister of the FCT, Governor (Fubara) had the nerve and audacity to interfere in my family affairs. Using money from the federation account and increased Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), he decided to remove one chief within my family and appoint another,” Wike remarked.
