Enemi Alabo, a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly, has provided additional insight into the recent defection of members from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Alabo made a statement on Monday when appearing on Politics Today on Channels Television.
He pointed to the PDP’s internal strife as the main cause of the departure.

Alabo asserted that the party’s leadership was unclear, which made members of the PDP in Rivers State confront further difficulties in addition to harassment and the burning of assembly chambers.
He bemoaned his annoyance at not being able to get in touch with the party secretariat.
“There is a split inside the PDP. Court lawsuits involving our party secretariat are pending.
“We made a valiant attempt to get in touch with our party secretariat, but we were unable. The politician responded, “I can’t tell you who the secretary of my party is as I speak to you.
