Rt Hon Edison Ehie, the former member representing Ahoada East in the Rivers State House of Assembly and the speaker of a group of lawmakers, has officially resigned from his positions.
In a letter dated 29th December 2023, addressed to the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Professor Mahmood Yakubu, he expressed his voluntary resignation as Speaker and Member of the 10th Rivers State House of Assembly representing Ahoada East Constituency II.
He thanked his colleagues and the people of his constituency for the opportunity to serve and stated his commitment to continue serving Rivers State to the best of his abilities in the future. The reasons behind his resignation were not disclosed in the letter.
