Rapper ASAP Rocky (Rakim Mayers) is scheduled to go on trial on alleged shooting charges involving Terell Ephron, a friend from his boyhood, in the past.
The event, which happened two years ago, came to light recently when a video went viral that appeared to show ASAP Rocky allegedly shooting Ephron with a revolver.
On the second day of the hearing, it was announced that ASAP Rocky would go on trial for allegedly shooting Ephron in the face during a fight, inflicting minor wounds. The musician has pleaded not guilty.

Rocky may spend up to nine years in jail if found guilty of the two felonies he faces related to assault with a firearm.
The rapper and Ephron, who was a member of A$AP’s Mob hip-hop group and knew ASAP Rocky since their time in a New York high school, got into an argument that resulted in the charges.
In a different case, Ephron claims that ASAP Rocky purposefully took him to a secret place outside the W Hotel in Hollywood on November 6, 2021, to address a disagreement. He also claims that he is a victim of assault and violence, carelessness, and emotional distress.
CCTV footage of the event is making the rounds on social media, where it allegedly shows Rakim pulling and discharging a gun.
The legal team for ASAP Rocky, however, disputes that he is the guy shown in the video.
The music industry has seen the increase in fame of ASAP Rocky, who is currently in a relationship with music legend Rihanna.
The pair has two kids together. The rapper, who has collaborated with Alicia Keys, Lana Del Rey, Skepta, Selena Gomez, and Kendrick Lamar, is well-known thanks to the support of artists like Drake.
