Revocation: IBB Owes ₦152m, Tambuwal ₦18m for Abuja Plots – Wike’s Aide

Wike’s aide reveals that former military leader IBB and ex-Governor Tambuwal owe ₦152m and ₦18m, respectively, for Abuja land plots, following revocation actions.

Lere Olayinka, the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media to Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has revealed that 9,532 individuals have outstanding debts for land allocated to them in Abuja.

Olayinka revealed that Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida, the former Military Head of State known as IBB, owes N152 million for a plot of land in Abuja’s Asokoro area.

He also disclosed that Samuel Ortom, the former Benue Governor, has an outstanding debt of N950,000 for a plot of land in Bazango. Meanwhile, Aminu Tambuwal, the senator representing Sokoto South, owes N18 million for a parcel of land in Carraway Dallas.

Olayinka shared on his Facebook page: “There are 9,532 individuals with outstanding payments on land allocated to them in Abuja.”

Recently, the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) released a list of 9,532 individuals and entities accused of being land title debtors in Abuja.

They have a fortnight to clear their pending bills.

Former Head of State Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida (IBB) is included among the defaulters, owing N152 million for a plot of land in Asokoro.

Other prominent individuals in default include Samuel Ortom, the former governor of Benue, who has an outstanding debt of N950,000 for a plot of land in Bazango. Additionally, Aminu Tambuwal, the senator representing Sokoto South, owes N18 million for a piece of land in Carraway Dallas.

“If you’re one of the 9,532 people, please go and pay.”

Recently, Wike, via the Federal Capital Development Agency (FCDA), has been involved in demolishing properties within the FCT.

Additionally, under Wike’s leadership as the FCT minister, some individuals have had their lands revoked.
