According to reports from The Nation, the parents of the children had a meeting with them at the Kaduna Women and Children Shelter, where they are currently undergoing psycho-social treatment.

It remains uncertain whether the six children who were admitted to the Dallet Barrack Hospital of the 1 Division Nigerian Army were part of the group that reunited with their parents.

The total number of abducted children was reported to be 137.

Despite the media not being allowed into the Women and Children Shelter, a recorded video of the meeting captured a heartwarming moment of joy as parents embraced their children, some even shedding tears of happiness at the sight of their safe return.

The meeting, which was attended by top government officials, including the Secretary to the Kaduna State Government (SSG) Abdulkadir Meyere, saw Meyere expressing gratitude for the successful rescue operation, stating that it was a promise fulfilled.

Representing Governor Uba Sani, Meyere emphasized the governor’s personal connection to the children, highlighting his visit to Kuriga on the day of the incident to offer his sympathies and reassure the parents that the rescued children were like his own.
