Three passengers have been abducted by gunmen along the Kaduna-Abuja Highway, who are thought to be terrorists.

According to information obtained by Obasanjonews24, the accident happened on Sunday between the settlements of Dikko and Jere after the vehicle transporting the victims broke down.

Additionally, it was learned that the shooters shot and immediately murdered the driver when the car was stopped and in need of a professional to fix it.

The three passengers were then taken away by the attackers.

Sadiya Ahmed, one of the victims, and her companions reportedly rented a commercial truck from Abuja for the journey.

The criminals had called the family, according to a family source who talked to Obasanjonews24 on Monday, and demanded N20 million in ransom.

The victims’ relatives said that the bandits had claimed that they had transported the victims to a jungle in Sarkin Pawa, Niger State.

“The automobile started to overheat as they were about to pass through Dikko Junction before Jere, so they had to stop and seek a repair.

The bandits ambushed them while they were waiting for the mechanic.
They immediately murdered the driver and seized his body with the prisoners they had abducted.
