The All Progressives Congress (APC) has stated that it is prepared to confront Mr. Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party, in court about his allegations of electoral fraud in the presidential election on February 25.
This was said in a statement made on Thursday in Abuja by Mr. Bayo Onanuga, Director of Media and Publicity, APC Presidential Campaign Committee (PCC).
The APC PCC made the declaration in response to remarks made by Obi during a news conference in Abuja.
“We applaud Mr. Obi’s determination to file a lawsuit as an aggrieved party to seek remedy if he is persuaded by the evidence of alleged electoral crimes he will submit before the tribunal.
Coming to court is the most honourable, statesmanlike, and civilised course of action, according to Onanuga, and it is a necessary element of the electoral process.

He claimed that the APC PCC applauded the choice and added that it was preferable to rallying supporters and igniting societal turmoil.
However, he refuted some particular assertions made in Obi’s press conference, claiming that it was untrue that the election was not free and fair.
One of the most peaceful and transparent elections in Nigerian history, according to Onanuga, was the presidential and national assembly vote in 2023.
“The process was credible,” he continued, “which allowed Obi’s Labour Party to record the almost six million votes it received in contrast to pre-election expectations.”
