In the Saturday governorship election, incumbent Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu allegedly beat his rivals, according to Femi Fani-Kayode, a senior member of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Labour Party’s Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour and the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, also known as Jandor, competed for the gubernatorial seat against incumbent Sanwo-Olu, who is running for re-election for a second term.
Fani-Kayode said in a tweet that both the LP candidate and the PDP flag bearer had lost the poll on Saturday.
The people today in a peaceful, free, and fair election have decisively rejected, severely humiliated, and ultimately taught the lesson of their life to those who claimed Lagos is a “no man’s land,” the author said. The argument has been resolved, and the message is eightfold:

“That God is able to save us from the hands of our powerful foes and the adversary inside, and that He reigns in the affairs of mankind. That He hears our petitions even in the most convoluted situations and difficult conditions. Yorubas are the rightful owners of Lagos.
That @jidesanwoolu continues to serve as governor of Lagos state in spite of the threats, schemes, plots, rants, and ramblings of those who are jealous, hateful, bitter, demon-possessed, and motivated by Satan.
According to Obasanjonews24, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has yet to declare a winner, despite results trending on social media suggesting that the incumbent governor is ahead early on.
