The Equal Opportunity Group of the Joint Admission and Matriculations Board has delayed its initial national meeting on “Equal Opportunity of Access to Higher Education in Nigeria.”

The conference has been postponed for September 25 and 26, according to the exam authority, from September 26 and 27.

The conference’s focus is on improving access to higher education in Nigeria for all people.

The JAMB Acting Director of Public Affairs and Protocol, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, released a statement on Wednesday in Abuja announcing the new dates.

The potential that the federal government would declare Wednesday, September 27, a public holiday, according to Benjamin, made the change in date necessary.

The Board apologises for any inconveniences this change in date may have caused and requests that all parties involved, including the heads of tertiary institutions, heads of examination bodies, WAEC, NECO, and the National Business and Technical Examinations Board, take note.

“Deans of faculties of education, commissioners for education, heads of schools for people with disabilities, and the National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies are other groups to be aware of.

“Leaders of Special Education Departments, representatives of the Association of Persons with Disabilities, and members of the general public should also be aware of the change in dates.

Benjamin said, “All other venue and time information stays as previously disclosed.
