Gunmen believed to be kidnappers have allegedly murdered John Otobo, a Union Bank manager, in Edo State. It has been reported that the assailants collected a ransom of N8m before taking his life.
The specific details surrounding the incident have not yet been disclosed, but it has been revealed that Otobo’s body was discovered in the bush subsequent to the payment of the ransom.
According to a family member, Otobo was abducted a few days ago while on his way home from work, between Ugbegun and Uromi.
The tragic news was confirmed by Odion Humphrey, a member of the community, through a heartfelt Facebook post. In the post, Humphrey bid farewell to Otobo and expressed the community’s grief, while also wishing eternal rest for the deceased and condemning the perpetrators of this heinous act.
