Prior to the beginning of the new season, the Nigeria National League’s coaches began a refresher course.
The three-day course, which got under way on Monday, aims to improve the league’s coaches’ understanding.
At the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, forty coaches are now taking part in the programme.

The event was declared open by Prof. Olawale Moronkola, Director-General of the National Institute for Sports (NIS).
Moronkola pointed out that the curriculum is in line with current plans the organisation has set to carry out its primary goal of training and retraining coaches.
Before the 2023–24 NNL season begins, he said, the coaches will greatly benefit from the training.
In his opening remarks, he stated that “the NIS is determined to upgrade the technical expertise of Nigeria National League coaches, hence the partnership with NNL.”
“I urge the participants to seize this once-in-a-lifetime chance with commitment, attention, and resolve. Your presence here serves as validation of your desire to work with us to realise this vision as a group.
NIS certifications will be given to the participants at the conclusion of the refresher course.
