Rema Addresses Claims of Worshipping the Devil

Nigerian singer Rema addresses rumors claiming he worships the devil, firmly denying the allegations and speaking out on his faith.

Divine Ikubor, also known online as Rema, is a Nigerian musician who has shared the most absurd internet rumor about herself.

The “Calm Down” hitmaker claimed that the wildest rumor that had ever been spread about him was that he was “a devil worshiper.”

A recent episode of the podcast “Kids Take Over” had Rema.

“What’s the most bizarre, false thing that you’ve seen online about yourself?” inquired the host.

Rema retorted, laughing, “They say worship the devil.” It’s absurd. Since it is unimportant, I choose not to reply. Time is wasted on it.

The singer clarified that the symbols he employed to convey his art were not demonic but rather derived from Edo culture.

Rema has mentioned collaborating with Canadian musician Drake on his leaked song “Mention Me” in 2020.

Working with a legend like Drake makes me pleased. If we take our time and create something very solid, I think we’re going to make a really big song,” he remarked.
