The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) has called on President Bola Tinubu to address the issue of crude oil theft in the Niger Delta by relocating military chiefs to the region.
The workers emphasized that increasing crude oil production is crucial for stabilizing the economy and generating more revenue for the country.
PENGASSAN President, Comrade Festus Osifo, highlighted that if the government takes the necessary steps to combat oil theft, crude oil production could potentially increase by 30%.
This would not only boost foreign exchange reserves but also strengthen the Central Bank of Nigeria’s ability to defend the national currency.
