Reinstated Edo Deputy Governor Shaibu has resumed his official duties and has directed all staff to follow suit. His return marks a significant development in the region’s political landscape and governance.
Philip Shaibu, the Deputy Governor of Edo State who has been reinstated, is back at work and has instructed his employees to do the same.
Furthermore, he cautions banks against engaging in any transactions with the Office of the Deputy Governor of Edo State without obtaining his explicit authorization as they would be considered unlawful.

He stated that the ruling from the Federal High Court restored his position, proving that it had never been unoccupied.
In addition, he revealed that the murder of a law enforcement officer deployed to safeguard the Edo APC gubernatorial candidate during the upcoming September 21 election weighed heavily on his heart.
After delivering the court judgment, Shaibu returned to Edo State where the incident occurred. The newly reinstated deputy governor stated that he was notified of several arrests made in connection with the matter.
Upon his return to the office, Shaibu requested for the reinstatement of his aides and sought approval from the state governor; however, he is yet to receive any response regarding this formal request.
