Over 40 referees have completed the national fitness exam in time for the 2023–24 Nigeria National League season.
The activity was held at Abuja’s Moshood Abiola Stadium.
In order to keep up with the high demands of the game in the forthcoming NNL season, the referees were put through their paces and also underwent an endurance test.
The initiative fits with the intentions of the Nigeria Referee Association (NRA), a part of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), to enhance refereeing in the nation.
The NNL season is anticipated to begin on October 28, 2023, a Saturday.
It will be contested in a condensed style between two groups made up of the Southern Conference and the Northern Conference.
The NNL will have 40 clubs in the 2023–2024 season.
