Adekunle Kosoko, better known as Adekunle Gold, a Nigerian singer, has admitted that braiding his hair was not done for branding purposes.

He claimed that he braided his hair in order to attempt something new.

The “Party No Dey Stop” singer revealed this when appearing as a guest on the Susan Pwajok-hosted MTV Base Africa show Touching Base.

There was no intention for my braided hairstyle to become a brand, he claimed.

My hair was sprouting in 2019. Recall the punk I had back then. Let me even attempt a fresh aspect of me, I thought. Let me at least attempt to grow this hair before I create it. And whatever you folks dubbed my core pattern, it’s pretty good. Core texture is funny.
