Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has disclosed that she left her marriage because her ex-husband was making less money than she was.
According to Obasanjonews.com, Jegede said in 2019 that her marriage to actor Olakunle “Abounce” Fawole had failed, just a year after they were married.
The actress expressed her remorse for selecting love over money in a teaser for the next episode of the podcast “The Honest Bunch.”
She added that part of the reason they divorced was because her ex-husband took offence at every joke because he was older than her.

“He [my ex-husband] is eight years older than me,” the woman stated. However, as soon as we were married, he would accuse me of disrespecting him if I told him, “You dey crease.” If it were the same person I married, yes, I would.
However, that wasn’t the primary cause of my divorce. Let me just state that I was bringing a larger amount of cash. I’m caring for my son as if he doesn’t exist. It’s not simple. Instead of choosing love, I would have chosen money.
