On the platform of the Messengers of Peace Foundation, Miss Omolara Omojola, the Nigerian Queen of Peace for 2023, and nine other Queens of Peace on Friday announced personal initiatives designed to advance peaceful coexistence.

This was addressed at the Foundation’s Unveiling Ceremony for Pet Projects in Abuja.

Omojola claimed that the 10 Queens of Peace were prepared to launch their individual passion initiatives as part of the “Peace Campaign.”

According to the Messengers of Peace Foundation’s mission statement, she said, they were committed to promoting advocacy for peaceful coexistence among Nigerians.

“Today, we’re here to reveal the project for the Nigeria/International Queen of Peace 2023–2024 as well as other queens who represent the six geopolitical regions of the nation.

“Our youth must be deeply and widely educated about peaceful coexistence and national unity in order to prepare them to be the leaders of tomorrow.

My initiative is called “Youth Sensitization on Peaceful Coexistence and Quality Sustainability (YOSPEQS)” in accordance with that objective.

She claims that the goal of this project is to bring Nigerian adolescents together without the sex, ethnic, or religious prejudices that prevent young people from realising their full potential.

I appeal to all levels of government, corporations, and well-meaning Nigerians to assist financially the many initiatives announced today that are aimed at promoting peaceful coexistence among Nigerians.

Additionally, Miss Mary Ukor, the Queen of Peace for the North-West, presented plans for an initiative to help underprivileged kids in the area acquire skills.

Miss Favour Chukwu, Queen of Peace South-East, declared that she would advocate for women’s and children’s access to primary healthcare in the area.

Others were Miss Regina Ochuole, the South-South Queen of Peace, who started a campaign for conflict settlement.

Miss Ella Eze, Queen of Peace International, announced that she will be organising a campaign to stop the trafficking of women.

A campaign to empower internally displaced people (IDPs) was unveiled by Miss Hope, the face of the Messengers of Peace Foundation.

Additionally, Miss Esther Asuquo, the current Queen of Peace Teen, planned to re-enroll out-of-school, needy kids so they may finish their education with the help of Nigerians.

The National President of Messengers of Peace, Dr. Suleiman Adejoh, stated earlier in his speech that the showcasing of pet projects was a foundation flagship endeavour through the accomplishment of its primary goals.

He claimed that the queens underwent training in promoting peace and fostering peaceful coexistence both within and outside of Nigeria.

The major goal, he stated, is to fight for the promotion of peace throughout the nation, regardless of tribe, gender, or religion.

According to The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Omojola won the Queen of Peace Nigeria competition overall in August. Nine other women were also named Queens of Peace for the North Central, North West, North-East, and South-East regions, respectively.

Queen of Peace Teen, Face of the Messengers of Peace Foundation, and Queen of Peace International were also crowned. (NAN)
