Governor Fubara’s ‘pure water money’ gesture sparks outrage among Rivers protesters. Learn why this act has infuriated the demonstrators.

On Thursday at the Port Harcourt Government House, Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State faced harsh criticism from EndBadGovernance demonstrators when he attempted to offer them funds for purchasing bottled water.

The frustration of #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protesters was intensified by the governor’s gesture and his plea for them to disperse.

Expressing gratitude to the gathering outside of Government House, Fubara stated that he appreciates their peacefulness and attendance. Acknowledging their agony, he vowed to relay their message to the President.
