The Public Service Commission has fired three top executives for misbehaviour.
The Police Service Commission, PSC, announced the removal of three senior police officers for wrongdoing.
In a statement issued on Friday, Ikechukwu Ani, Head of Press and Public Relations, said the commission also authorised the reduction in ranks of five individuals found inadequate in the performance of their official duties.
He stated that the two Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) and one Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) were fired.
He stated that for misconduct, one Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), one Superintendent (SP), one Deputy Superintendent (DSP), and two Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASP) were demoted, and that fourteen officers were severely reprimanded, six others were reprimanded, and seven others were issued warning letters.
He also noted that the commission reinstated six terminated officers who received good court decisions or had their cases reviewed.
