Demonstrations have broken out in different localities of the FCT, primarily within proximity to Eagle Square situated at the Central Area. In defiance of cautionary advice from security agencies, protesters persisted in their occupation of this region.
Despite a court order limiting protests to the Moshood Abiola Stadium, demonstrators defied the restriction and relocated to Eagle Square. As a result of their actions in Central Area, there were considerable disruptions to traffic flow and commercial activities.
Reports indicate that the demonstrations may have triggered Wike’s conference with President Tinubu, during which they purportedly deliberated on tactics to tackle the disturbances efficiently.
