A privately-owned aircraft at the Ibadan Airport apparently went off course into the bush on Friday night, narrowly avoiding the deaths of its passengers, among them a serving minister (name withheld), according to Tribune on Saturday.
Men from the Federal Fire Services, State Fire Services, and Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) Fire Services worked together to contain the event, and no casualties or property damage were reported.

As stated, the aircraft departed from Abuja’s Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
The State Fire Service’s General Manager, Yemi Adeyimika, confirmed the occurrence by saying, “Yes, it is true. Our men are on their way, but I don’t have details yet.”
He claimed that although his personnel got at the scene of the event on schedule, they encountered additional fire services from nearby agencies.
