Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has expressed a change in his perception of President Bola Tinubu, stating that his ability to forgive easily has played a significant role in this shift.
Despite campaigning against Tinubu during the 2023 presidential election, Omokri also commended the president’s performance in less than a year in office, comparing it favorably to the eight years of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Omokri further highlighted the positive impact of Tinubu’s reforms on the country, noting that prices of certain commodities have been decreasing.
In addition, he extended his felicitations to the president on his 72nd birthday and wished him success as the leader of the nation. Omokri emphasized the positive outcomes of Tinubu’s decisions, such as the floating of the currency and the removal of fuel subsidies, which have resulted in a decrease in fuel imports and an increase in local refining.
These reforms have also contributed to a growth in GDP, a trade surplus, and reduced prices for essential items, benefiting the masses.
I will refrain from being emotional, sentimental, biased, primitive, or narrow-minded. Despite our differing political affiliations, I will stick to presenting facts. Bola Tinubu is performing admirably, and if he continues on this trajectory, he will receive my support, not just the APC’s.
May the President be blessed with good health and a sharp mind filled with wisdom to lead our nation in the right direction. Asiwaju, you have been blessed by God, and no one can bring harm upon you.
Once again, happy birthday, sir.
