Primate Elijah Ayodele of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church encouraged Nigerians on Tuesday not to have high hopes for the decision of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal on Wednesday.

He announced this in a statement provided by Oluwatosin Osho, his media assistant.

Peter Obi, the LP’s presidential candidate, won’t prevail in the tribunal, he continued.

He also urged those who would lose the lawsuit to keep the peace so as to prevent unneeded strife and disorder in the nation.

“The judgement will not proceed the way Peter Obi and his supporters want it to,” claims Ayodele. The worst that can happen is that the election is redone, or things stay as they are now. He cannot claim any success through the tribunal.

“Losers should uphold law and order regardless of the outcome; they shouldn’t riot because they lost the case,” the adage goes.

“As it stands right now, things are still uncertain; a repeat is unlikely, but God can change anything. Because the ruling class is unwilling to let justice prevail, the majority of Nigerians would not like the election tribunal’s decision. Nigerians shouldn’t hold high hopes for the election tribunal’s results.

“They still intend to hold onto power no matter what; changing the results of the presidential election won’t be simple. If the opposition allows Tinubu to win the election, as I have previously stated, the court will be powerless to remove him.

The prophet also asked the judges to protect the nation’s unity by ensuring that justice is upheld no matter what, regardless of the many types of intimidation.

The nation can be made or broken by the judges’ decisions. The best they can do given the already high level of unrest in the nation is to guarantee justice is served regardless of the various intimidation tactics used. They ought to be accountable while rendering decisions on the case, he continued.
