The events schedule that is currently in circulation for the May 29 inauguration has been repudiated by the Presidential Transition Council (PTC).
The show on social media was labeled as phony by the council in a statement on Saturday.
Boss Mustapha, Chairman of the PTC and Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), provided the clarification.
He stated that the council’s inaugural committee had proceeded in its planning for a smooth transfer of power.
Mustapha stated that the world press conference set for Thursday, May 18, would be where the authorized timetable of activities will be made public.
The SGF also stated that the week’s approved events will start on May 22 on Monday.
The statement issued a warning to anyone who spread misleading information in an effort to deceive the public.
