Presidential Election Tribunal adjourns its meeting Tuesday to hear the PDP and APM’s petition

The nation’s capital, Abuja, the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, has postponed its meeting until Tuesday.

Additionally, it postponed the pre-hearing proceedings for the petitions of the Labour Party and Peter Obi as well as the Action Peoples Party (APP) until Wednesday.

The petitions from Atiku Abubakar and the Allied People’s Movement will be discussed during Tuesday’s proceedings.

The start of the tribunal’s preliminary hearing of the petitions contesting the results of the February 25 presidential election was announced by Channels Television.

The All Progressives Congress candidate Bola Tinubu received 8,794,726 votes to win the race, according to the Independent National Electoral Commission. With 6,984,520 votes, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party came in second, and Peter Obi of the Labour Party took third with 6,101,533.

After contesting the election results, Atiku and Obi petitioned the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal to declare Tinubu the winner.

At the pre-hearing on Monday, the petitioners’ attorneys, a journalist, Governor Simon Lalong of the APC, and Mr. Obi of the LP were all present.

The judges Stephen Adah, Misitura Bolaji-Yusuf, Boloukuoromo Moses Ugo, and Abbah Mohammed are also on the panel.
